About me

"Recovery is not a matter of luck, but of precise strategy."

I'm Zsófia Jókai, lead canine physiotherapist and instructor.

I believe that a dog is a family member, and as such, deserves premium, no-compromise health, a dignified old age, and the joy of pain-free, free movement. That's why I work with dog owners every single day.

A promise to my 14-year-old self: From the banking world to paws

Even at fourteen, I knew exactly that I wanted to work with animals. I was set on becoming a vet — right up until a biology class in high school, where, dissecting an earthworm with my own hands, I realized that the world of clinical surgery just wasn't for me, no matter how much I wanted to work with animals. So I put my rational, logical mind to work in economics and the banking world instead.

I built a successful corporate career, but when my dog came into my life, everything changed — my childhood dream flared back up. Alongside my job, I started studying: first I became a dog trainer and rehabilitation instructor, then, through canine massage, I found my true calling — canine physiotherapy. My hunger for knowledge has kept driving me forward ever since; I try to acquire every new technology and skill I can, and I now hold more than 8 canine physiotherapy qualifications.

I started working as a physiotherapist alongside my banking job, but eventually the moment came when I left my banking career for good, to follow the dream of my younger self. I started out with just a single bag, as a mobile practitioner making house calls. Over time, I moved into a small space in Újlipótváros where I helped dogs, and then in 2025 I opened a brand-new, modern small-animal physio and hydrotherapy center, Mancsológia. Here, as owner, lead therapist, and physiotherapy instructor, I teach my own methodology to a wonderful professional team.

Why do I also work as an independent therapist alongside Mancsológia?

Because for me, canine physiotherapy isn't just a job — it's the calling I chose and now live out. My years in banking taught me thorough, persistent work habits. That precision, analytical thinking, and stubborn determination now blend together with an unconditional love for animals. In my independent practice, I help those who need it most with difficult and complicated cases. I don't stop until we've found the fastest and safest path back to a happy, free, healthy life for your dog...
